The aim of the Department of Economics is to provide students with a solid theoretical background which enables them to understand diverse aspects of economic life, and to perceive and solve economic problems. For this purpose, the courses mainly focus on economic theory and policy, the history of economics and international economics. In order to enhance problem solving abilities of students, the Department offers statistics, econometrics and mathematical economics courses as well.
